I'm sure you are asking, "How is this story any different" from the thousands of stories other families can tell about the hope and care they received at the Ronald McDonald house?

It's Masyn!

Masyn is now turning 7 but he's not entirely a typical kid. Oh, he runs, jumps, plays and makes a lot of funny noises, but he does more than that. Although the accident has left Masyn with brain damage, he has developed a grateful heart and a joyful attitude! Now he is doing THIS!  He is attempting to say, "Thank You" to the people who took such good care of his family while the doctors and nurses were taking good care of him!

Will you please help Masyn say Thank You?

ABOUT MASYN

Masyn O'Gane is a little boy.

Like most little boys, he likes to run, jump, play and make funny noises! However there was a time when his parents thought he would not live to do any of these things. When Masyn was 2 years old he suffered a  Traumatic Brain Injury.

An entertainment center with a large TV fell and crushed him. His parents and family were devastated. The doctors were not optimistic. Sadly Masyn was very quiet. He was in a medically induced coma for 3 weeks. Tubes were placed in his head in an attempt to allow the swelling and pressure go down.

However this is not a story of grief. It is not going to bring you a heavy heart. This is a story of victory, strength and the overwhelming charity of strangers!

Masyn's Mom and others lived in the Ronald McDonald house for the two months while this 2 year old baby had extensive brain swelling. The normal emotional stresses of being in a hospital, her child's extraordinary needs and her ongoing humanity might have been overwhelmingly compounded by the small indignities of life. Yet it wasn't. Masyn’s family was there helping and lifting each other up. We all know how important family support is!

Nevertheless under such grueling circumstances, who thinks about the loving caregiver's need to take a shower, wash their hair, do laundry, eat or even sleep? In this case it was the Ronald McDonald House. The help they offered was extended out to the whole family. What a wonderful gift for strangers to give. How do you say, "Thank You"  for such an outpouring of desperately needed hope and sanity?
